Eater LA editor Kat Odell named to jury of 7th Annual AIA Los Angeles Restaurant Design Awards
The sharp, witty editor of “Eater LA” – a popular restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog – is a veritable connoisseur of fine dining in the Los Angeles food community. With previous experience at “Bon Appétit,” “Ideal Bite,” and “Whole Life Times,” O’Dell is a respected authority on restaurant news and is usually one of the first to know the latest industry gossip. The RDAs are open to all individuals and practices (owners & architects/designers can equally submit entries for consideration) for projects located in the United States and to US-based individuals and practices for projects outside of the USA. “She has this persona of your cool best friend or of your cool big sister,” said Izzy Grinspan, the editor of the shopping blog Racked NY. “It’s not aggressively sexual at all. It’s not aggressive.”
It’s the antithesis of the warrior goddess look of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, Ms. Grinspan said. “You can very easily dress like Alexa Chung and it feels really fresh and new right now because it’s such a change.”
